Elaine Docherty Tribbick

Elaine Tribbick is a mixed media artist and educator. After working as a full time art lecturer at Tafe Elaine started her own art business DOC ART in 2018, she sells her artworks and merchandise at the local Broome courthouse market.

Elaine’s art vocation started many years ago as a mural artist hand painting walls, her most memorable makeover was the children’s ward at Newman hospital. Creating an underwater fantasy world was the catalyst that inspired her next big project.

With the help of a W.A country arts mentorship grant in 2009 Elaine successfully completed the 18 month project which entailed writing and illustrating a 32 page children’s book. Elaine creates her fine art paintings and illustrations with attention to detail and natural skill.

Elaine has a unique visual storytelling ability inspired by her love of nature. The colourful vibrant images she creates are related to a connection she’s made with a place, person, plant or creature. Elaine’s design aesthetic has developed over the past 20 years, driven purely by her passion to create and express her appreciation of the natural world. Elaine is currently working on an oil painting series depicting the beautiful birds of the Kimberley “Birds of a feather.”

Elaine also offers one on one and small group art tuition from her home based studio.
