NEWMAN PARK COMMISION

In 2010 Elaine was commissioned by Artsource W.A. to create an installation design that would be placed in the new public park space in the centre of town. Using both her art and creative writing skills Elaine initially wrote 7 short stories describing the sounds you would hear living in the mining town. The discs below were created from the stories using the describing text. The flat circles with raised lettering where built into the path surrounding the children’s play area.
